Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about consuming FlameForge datasets, API authentication, rate limits, and platform rules.

What is FlameForge Reforged?

FlameForge Reforged is an unofficial RESTful developer API and unified dataset engine for Genshin Impact. It delivers structured game data across characters, weapons, artifact matrices, lore, talents, constellations, and media assets via high-speed global endpoints.

How do I obtain an API key for my application?

Create or sign into your developer account on the FlameForge Dashboard, then navigate to the Developer API Keys section. You can generate a personalized Bearer token instantly with 1-click provisioning and monitor live request telemetry.

What rate limits and quotas are enforced?

FlameForge enforces per-minute rate limits to protect service reliability:

  • Public / Anonymous: 30 requests / minute per IP.
  • Traveler API Key: 500 requests / minute per Key (Free Registered Accounts).
Can I use FlameForge for my web application or Discord bot?

Yes! FlameForge is explicitly engineered to power community web apps, Discord bots, build planners, damage calculators, wiki frontends, and mobile tools. All endpoints return normalized JSON with CORS enabled for seamless integration across all frontend and backend runtimes.

What are the account usage rules, and what causes a ban or suspension?

All users and API consumers must adhere to our platform acceptable use policy. Accounts will be suspended or permanently banned for:

  • Attempting DDoS, continuous flood attacks, or automated brute-force scraping beyond rate limits.
  • Injecting malicious payloads, credential stuffing, or exploit attempts.
  • Abusing platform endpoints or causing intentional server degradation.

If your account receives a moderation penalty, the specific administrator reason will be displayed upon login, and you can submit a formal review request via our Ban Lift Appeal Form.
